A Deep Dive: Getting Up and Down From the Floor

Begins the week of October 6.

Falling is one of the things most feared by aging adults. And for good reason. There is a risk of fracturing bones, impacting well-being on all levels.

How do most people avoid falling?

By avoiding getting up and down off the floor.

Avoiding getting up and down off the floor creates loss of strength and flexibility.

To counter balance that, we will spend the entire series on learning what it takes to get up and down from the floor.

Learn how to make getting up and down easier, more pleasant and last years to come! (Even if you don’t go all the way)

Join me this fall for taking “A Deep Dive: Getting Up and Down From the Floor.”

Online with Zoom Invite.

Cost:

–$120 for 6 classes with recordings.

–$22/class for 3-5 classes, no recordings.

–$25/individual class, no recording.

2025 Summer Series

No Theme Summer

Moshe Feldenkrais said, when asked which lesson is good for ___________ (fill in the blank with an injury, body part or pain), “Every lesson is good for every person.”

I personally like some lessons better than others, but I have learned that the better I “DO” any lesson, the better the lesson becomes. It is as if the “lesson” is the operative word, rather than the “I”. Yes, it can be challenging for us humans to take responsibility for our experiences!

Maybe there is a subtheme to the “No Theme Summer“: Finding Respite in Difficulty‘. That sounds good…to be saved for another time…

I am taking a break from themes this summer and will choose random lessons for you to practice doing and liking more. That being said, there is a place for struggle. And if wrestling with struggle is what you need, the lessons will offer that too! (More on the value of struggle later)

Join me this June and July for “No Theme Summer”.
